Bitcoin and the blockchain

This second session will be more technical but don't worry, we will continue talking about the basics.

At the end of this session, you will have understood what blockchain is and how it works with bitcoin. We will discover that bitcoin "lives" on the blockchain and that in a way the two are quite difficult to dissociate.

This session will also explain why both bitcoin and the blockchain are safe and cannot be hacked. We will discover the nature of its distributed network design and how the transactions carried out on the blockchain work. We will end by studying what bitcoin miners are and why they are essential for the blockchain survival.

To conclude, we will see what a wallet is, how to store your cryptocurrencies. We will study its various levels of security and its central element: cryptography and private and public keys to access and protect the wallet.
